カタルシス // Katarsis is a new MUD currently under development. The themes are virtue and vice, light and darkness, pleasure and pain. The setting is a fantasy world of abominations, demons, shades and undead inspired by classic adult manga and anime such as 魔物ハンター妖子 (Mamono Hantā Yōko), 超神伝説うろつき童子 (Chōjin Densetsu Urotsukidōji), 淫獣学園La☆Blue Girl and 淫獣教師 (Inju Kyoshi), as well as stories of the Cthulhu Mythos and the Hellraiser films.
The name カタルシス // Katarsis is taken from a Japanese transliteration of the psychoanalytical term catharsis (the relief of a compulsion through simulation). It is intended to eventualy become a reimplementation of the original ShadowRealm MUD, and is also the primary example for the mudpy project.
